about

Uneasy Listening is the result of my 1999 collaboration with Athens stalwart Coti K. a few months after we finished "The More I Learn the Less I Know". In September of that year I had been approached to do a show at a now-defunct club in Psirri called "Pinakothiki". I asked Coti along and we decided to write all-new material for the occasion. We set to work at his studio in Pangrati, armed with my newly acquired random sentence generating program "Fiction Magician", my trusty Japanese 5-string violin and his new Nord Modular synthesizer.
Our sessions were amazingly prolific, songs flowing forth from our fingers with slippery ease. In ten days it was ready to perform.
Coti had the foresight to record the live show, and we were so pleased with the results, we decided to release it as a CD. As Coti suggested we say on the sleeve

"Uneasy Listening was performed live somewhere in the 20th Century by BLR and CK."

And now you can download it here.
